Newsletter - December 18

Season's Greetings!

York Street Hustle's Holiday Spectacular was a great night of Motown and Soul music! Some holiday soul favorites sprinkled in there of course. Thank you all who attended the show. We're taking a little holiday hiatus, but will be back next year for our second annual Valentine's Day event: Who’s Lovin’ You: A York Street Hustle Valentine's Extravaganza at Boot & Saddle Saturday, February 10, 2018.

Tomorrow evening (Tuesday, December 19) is the Sound Plan Release show! The band has been gearing up for a solid night of original music selections from my albums Sound Plan, Live at PafA, SYZYGY: Remix, and Quatrane's Night Trip. The band is just fantastic featuring Bend Diamond (Red 40), Dan Finn (Cold Roses), Charlie Heim (Johnny Showcase), Brendan McGeehan (York Street Hustle), and Drew Parker (You Do You). Our sound is jazz fused with Psychedelic Rock, Dub Reggae, and Funk. World Cafe Live - Upstairs (3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA). EVENT

The holiday season is sailing on; if you're still stuck on gift ideas, give music! My newest album, Sound Plan, is great for the jazz lover as well as the prog/psychedelic rocker. My other 2017 album, Live at PafA is suitable for world music enthusiasts. The Cat's Pajamas released our newest album Kitten Kaboodle, imaginative music for kids. Capture rare folk music on John Byrne's father's album John J. Byrne and the Twangman. A lot more great material came out this year; a bunch of listed on my discography.

The rest of December features a couple Thursday performances with John Byrne. December 21 at Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ and December 28 at Tir Na Nog in Philly. I will appear as my alter ego with both Red 40 & the Last Groovement AND Johnny Showcase & the Mystic Ticket on New Year's Eve at Underground Arts. Definitely a classy way to ring in 2018.

Hope to see you at Tuesday's Sound Plan Release show! If I don't see you before 2018; Happy Holidays!
