Newsletter - June 1

Greetings from the road!

I’m on a tour of the American Midwest with the John Byrne Band. It’s John, Maura Dwyer, Andy Keenan, and me as an acoustic quartet. We’re playing a slew of gigs so check the Calendar to see when we’re performing in your neck of the country.

Upon returning to Philly, I’ll perform with PHLOYD – a 10-piece tribute band consisting of an all-star cast of Philadelphia musicians. We’ll play Pink Floyd’s Animals and Wish You Were Here albums in full, flanked by sets of deep cuts and fan favorites. I serve as the musical director in addition to playing bass, synthesizer, and singing. The show is Friday, June 14 at The Union Firehouse; 18 Washington Street; Mount Holly, New Jersey 08060 at 7:00pm. More details and tickets available here.

I’m releasing a new album this month! If you’re familiar with my Discography, you’re aware that I produce a wide variety of Music. Tides is a full length a full length instrumental ambient jazz album. The music leans towards the sub-genre of dark ambient and is heavily synthesized. The album is based on a composition with the same title from my first album, SYZYGY (2014).

Using a tape machine, “Tides” was slowed down and its pitch lowered, yielding an album-length basic track upon which to reimagine, reorchestrate, and reharmonize. The resulting music transports the listener to a sprawling extraterrestrial world. I decided to release Tides on my dad’s birthday, Sunday, June 23, and will be available wherever online you buy, download, or stream music. Preview Tides here.
