Together 8-years, much of which has been spent touring the US and Ireland/UK., the John Byrne Band has been compared to Steve Earl, Lucinda Williams, and the Pogues. As an acoustic act, and a full 6-piece band, John logs in over 150 shows per year, building a loyal and devoted following. John spent 2017/18 recording an album of folk songs with his father. The album has been included in the National Archives in Ireland. His next record, a selection of John Byrne originals is set for release in October 2019.
