We are kicking off 2017’s Bijou at Ballytore with a very special blast - of MUSIC, that is! Please join us for an evening of JAZZ and our Second Annual Valentine’s Swanky Pot Luck Supper and CD Release Concert!

This fall, Vince Tampio (trumpet, composer) along with Thor Espanez (saxophone), Jonathan Colvsom (electric bass), Ben Diamond (percussion), and Sarah Robertson (tanpura) performed at PafA, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. We are proud to host the CD release concert of that very exciting performance, “Live at PafA”. (Many of you will recognize the band: Vince and Ben are Cat’s Pajamas bandmates and you’ve seen all but Sarah play with Red 40 and The Last Groovement.!)

Vince and the band will be performing selections from the album, an improvised conversation between traditional jazz instruments and non-western instruments including Eastern European percussion and the Indian drone instrument. The audience is encouraged to interact with and participate in the musical conversation (which sounds amazing).

Last year on Valentines, we celebrated our friend Phyllis Chappelle’s new release with a packed house of more than 50 people. Let’s show our support for these fabulous musicians by making that happen again! Please bring your friends!

Also please bring your food fully prepared on your labeled dish. As for the “swanky” part of this pot luck? It’s Valentines – let’s get a little swanky!
